Updates after lorry overturns and lands in field – Cornwall Live

A lorry has reportedly overturned and landed in a field.

The collision happened on the A390 at East Taphouse, which is approximately five miles away from Liskeard.

Pictures from the scene show a large vehicle in a field, a considerable distance from the road.

One driver who passed the scene said the vehicle involved looked like a recovery truck.

He said: “It must have gone straight through the trees and into the field. It looks like a HGV recovery truck.

“There were four or five police cars and an ambulance at the scene. Police were controlling traffic both ways.”

The latest update from traffic monitoring service Inrix – posted at 6.10pm – states: “A390 in both directions blocked, queueing traffic due to overturned lorry at B3360.

“A lorry has overturned and gone into a field.”

 

No one from Devon and Cornwall Police has been available to speak with us at this time.

We are yet sure how serious the incident is, or if anyone has been hurt.
