Video shows lorry driver nearly crashing into a motorway sign along the M11 hard shoulder

A video has emerged online showing a lorry nearly crashing into a motorway sign. The video shows the huge vehicle aimlessly meander into the M11’s[1] hard shoulder, then swerve away from danger at the last minute. It took place yesterday morning (Wednesday, July 25) and viewers expressing their shock at the footage.

In the video the lorry can be seen driving at speed on the M11 motorway before veering over into the hard shoulder. The truck can then be seen swerving back into the main carriageway to avoid hitting one of the motorway signs. David Bowman, who filmed the event, said: “Not sure what this driver was doing on the M11 yesterday at 10.30am but just glad he woke up in time.”
