Lane closed leading to A19 congestion southbound after truck hits petrol station sign

A sign has been damaged at a petrol station following a crash on the A19. North Yorkshire Police said it was alerted shortly after 11.30am on Tuesday to reports that a truck had crashed into the sign. A force spokesperson said there was “some congestion” in the area, with one lane closed as the damaged vehicle is recovered.

The crash has occurred at Exelby Services on the southbound carriageway near Ingleby Arncliffe. The force added that nobody was injured in the accident. Online traffic maps have suggested that vehicles have slowed back towards Crathorne.
