M25 Cobham Services slip closed due to overturned lorry

The slip road to Cobham Services on the anticlockwise M25 was closed due to an overturned lorry. Highways England tweeted at 6.45pm on Thursday (August 8) that emergency crews were attending the incident. Shortly after the slip road was closed.

Earlier, a broken down vehicle on the M23 exit slip road at the Gatwick Airport junction caused long delays on the southbound section. And at around 2.30pm three lanes were closed on the M25 near Watford following a crash involving a car and a van. Highways England tweeted about a “two vehicle collision”, saying fire crews were at the scene.

Inrix said: “Three lanes closed and queuing traffic due to accident, car and a van involved on M25 clockwise from J18 A404 Rickmansworth Road (Chorleywood) to J19 (Watford). Congestion to J16 (M40 interchange). “Lanes two, three and four (of four) are closed.
