Motorcyclist dies after collision with HGV in Staffordshire

A motorcyclist has died following a crash on a major Staffordshire road yesterday. The man in his 50s was riding a Yamaha bike when he collided with an HGV. He was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital just before 4pm on Tuesday, August 13.

The biker died from his injuries in hospital a short while later, according to Staffordshire Police. The force has confirmed that the man’s family have been made aware and are being supported by specially-trained officers. The road, Campbell Road, in Stoke, was closed for some time while officers from the collision investigation unit carried out an examination.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any dashcam footage is asked to ring 101, quoting incident number 528 of Tuesday, August 13.
