Person trapped in vehicle after HGV crash in Dagenham

A man has been taken to hospital after a person became trapped in their vehicle when two HGVs crashed in Dagenham.

Paramedics and police officers were called to New Road at around 10.20am today, Tuesday, August 6.

The London Air Ambulance also attended. One man was taken to hospital, but his condition is not yet known. Fire crews were called to free the trapped person at around 10.30am.

A spokesman said the incident was over for the fire brigade at around two hours later.

Three fire engines from Barking and Dagenham fire stations and a fire rescue unit from East Ham were at the scene.
