Semi truck driver charged with impaired driving in Canmore

CANMORE –  Mounties west of Calgary are crediting concerned drivers with helping them take an impaired driver off the road. Shortly before noon Monday, Canmore RCMP was called out after a few calls came in describing a semi-truck swerving all over the road on westbound Highway 1. Officers were suspicious that the driver may have been drinking and gave him a breathalyzer.

The driver was over double the legal alcohol limit. His license has been suspended and he’s been charged with impaired operation of a conveyance. He’s scheduled to appear in court on Sept.
