Mark Armstrong started playing on simulators after an accident, and now has 32m YouTube viewers

Mark Armstrong is driving south along the M11 motorway outside of Cambridgeshire when his head suddenly flops forward and his flatbed lorry careers into the back of the vehicle in front. His father Neil, several hundred (virtual) metres away at the wheel of his own rig, warns viewers not to worry as Mark’s body spasms in his seat. It’s a distressing scene, but one familiar to the 32m viewers of Armstrong’s YouTube channel Mark Armstrong Gaming.

The 28-year-old streamer from Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham, suffered a life-changing brain injury when he fell off a 3m high wall while riding his trials bike at 19.
