A trailer drifts and nearly swerves into oncoming cars at a Yorkshire junction in this tense video.

The nail-biting clip shows the Archibold Logistics delivery vehicle approaching a junction along the A6202 near Pontefract, west Yorkshire, in bleak rainy weather on August 16.

It then starts to veer off towards a white van moving in its direction and crosses over to the wrong side before edging inches closer to the busy main road.

Dry Tuesday evening. Sunshine and showers on Wednesday.

This Evening and Tonight:

Dry with some sunshine at first this evening. Cloud will increase overnight, perhaps bringing in a few showers during the early hours of the morning.

Light southwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 9 ?C.

Wednesday:

Sunny spells and occasional showers during the day. Thickening cloud will bring outbreaks of rain through the night.

Becoming dry with clear spells by dawn. Maximum temperature 21 ?C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Fine and dry most of Thursday, becoming breezy with patchy rain spreading in later. Dry with sunny periods on Friday.

Warm with further sunny spells on Saturday. 

The truck then proceeds to dice with death and drives along in the opposite direction.

One person replied to the post on Facebook: ‘Pretty sure you’re supposed to slow down for the bends? A professional driver should know this more than most…’

Another said: ‘He’s got skills.’ 

This comes at a time when north west Yorkshire had just experienced three weeks worth of rain in 48 hours and was given an amber weather warning.

Eleven people were rescued from floods in Poynton in Cheshire and cars were stranded in Yorkshire at the end of July. 

Torrential rain led fire crews to set off the flood alerts. 

The Met Office recorded 51.8mm of rainfall over the last July weekend, compared to the average of 66.7mm. 

And this week, the Met Office have said it will remain dry with sunshine this evening. Cloud will increase overnight, and might bring in a few showers during the early hours of the morning.
