This is the moment a lorry jack-knifed on M6 in Cheshire

This dramatic dashcam footage shows the moment a lorry jack-knifed on the M6 in Cheshire smashing in to a white van. Amazingly, just one driver was taken to hospital and with only minor injuries. Two cars were also involved in the pile-up on the M6 northbound, near Knutsford services, between junctions 18 and 19.

The collision, which happened about 5.10pm, blocked all four lanes causing delays of up to 70 minutes on Tuesday evening (August 27). There was a report of fuel having leaked on to the carriageway.

At one point an eight-mile stretch of motorway was said to be affected. North West Ambulance Service confirmed one patient was taken by road ambulance to Macclesfield General Hospital but was not seriously injured.

The air ambulance was notified but was not required. Highways England implemented a rolling road block to finally get all four lanes reopened just after 11pm.
