Dressed in a white polo short, dark trousers and flanked by two dock officers the 37-year-old is accused of playing a “leading role” in a conspiracy to steal a trailer of alcohol from Kuehne Nagel Drinks Logistics at Dove Valley Park, Foston, on May 29.

It is alleged he facilitated the theft of the lorry of vodka, which was worth an estimated £579,000 while working at the logistics firm as a fork lift truck driver.

Most of the booze has not been recovered.
