Two crashes lead to long delays on A63

Drivers faced long delays after two crashes on the A63 on Friday afternoon. A car crashed into a ditch on the A63 westbound carriageway after colliding with a HGV near the Hessle turn-off. One driver told Hull Live that traffic was at a “standstill coming out on to A63 near McDonalds roundabout.”

Traffic management system Inrix says: “A63 Clive Sullivan Way Westbound blocked, queueing traffic due to accident after A1166 Brighton Street (St Andrews Quay).” Meanwhile, there was another collision, also on the westbound carriageway, between a HGV and a car at the Daltry Street flyover at 3.10pm with the driver of the car having “pain in her knee” and “minor injuries” according to Humberside Police. It also created queuing traffic coming out of Hull.
