Live updates as female biker injured in A376 Exmouth Road crash at Lympstone

Police and paramedics were called to a crash involving a motorcyclist this morning in Exmouth Road, Lympstone. A 999 call was made earlier this morning, at about 7.40am after reports a female biker had crashed with a lorry. However police say on arrival it was discovered the biker had come off her bike, and not crashed with another vehicle.

A spokesperson for the force said the rider has been taken the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital but it believed her injuries are minor. The spokesperson said: "We were called at about 7.40am to reports of a collision between a truck and a motorcyclist. Ambulance has attended.

"It appears the motorcyclist has come of their bike as opposed to there being a collision. "It looks like minor injury and a female has been taken to RD&E. "There's no mention of a road closure but the log is still open which means police are probably still at the scene."
