Jay-Tyler Bromilow, 17, died along with his grandfather in a horror crash yesterday after their Citroen collided with a lorry

A grieving mother has paid a heartfelt tribute to her 'beautiful son' and his grandfather who were killed in a horrific crash with a lorry yesterday.

Jay-Tyler Bromilow, 17, and his grandfather Colin Leeson, 66, were in a Citroen which collided with a grey Scania HGV in Hickleton, south Yorkshire, around midday.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on the A635.

The teenager's mother, who has not been named, posted a photo of her son and thanked those who stopped to help at the scene of the crash.

She said: 'My beautiful son was too precious to stay.

'He was too intelligent for this earth, so he's took upon a journey with his wingman, his grandad, not only to travel the world but to travel the universe together.

'I love you unconditionally.

Love you always love Mam xxxxx <3'

The collision happened at the junction with Red Hill Lane as the HGV travelled away from Hickleton, towards the A1, and the Citroen out of the junction of Red Hill Lane.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw the collision or the vehicles before it happened.

They would also like people to check dashcam footage if they were in the area at the time of the crash.
