Newtown PD: Charges pending in Route 34 crash Back to Gallery NEWTOWN -- Charges are pending against the driver of a pickup truck that crashed on Route 34 last week.

That's what police said after responding to a single-vehicle accident with injuries around 5:20 p.m. Sept.

11, near the Lone Oak Meadow intersection. Victor Pagan, 33, of Sokorat Road in Seymour, was driving a 2019 Chevy Colorado eastbound on Berkshire Road when he "became distracted and traveled across the roadway" into the westbound lane, police said.

Police said the truck -- owned by Oxford-based Fox Pest Control -- continued eastbound on the westbound shoulder and struck a utility pole, street sign, two mailboxes and a stone wall before coming to a rest near 87 Berkshire Road.

Pagan was transported to Danbury Hospital with unspecified injuries, police said, and the truck was towed from the scene.
