Tequila Tuesday the horse to beat in tonight’s Blair Andrew memorial at CDP

CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. —

With his regular driver out of town, Tequila Tuesday will take a shot at the biggest purse of the season for rookie trotters tonight at Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park (CDP). The 12-dash card begins at 6:30 p.m. with the £18,700 Blair Andrew memorial two-year-old trot stake lining up in Race 4.
Tequila Tuesday is the morning-line choice from Post 5 with Jason Hughes driving this week in the absence of regular driver Myles Heffernan Sr. The son of Armbro Barrister will look to add to his £18,856 in seasonal earnings for trainer Myles Heffernan Jr., and owner Jackie Heffernan of Summerville.

Mykindofparty found his first lifetime win in stakes action last week and draws Post 2 tonight with Gary Chappell at the controls. The class also includes Sailing Home (Adam Merner), Incredible Hally (Marc Campbell), Go With Her (Kuri White), and Mack Truck (Gilles Barrieau).

The open trot lines up behind the starting gate in Race 8 for a £2,350 purse.
Freddie was a winner at this level in his last start and will leave from Post 7 for trainer-driver Campbell and owner Three Wisemen Stable of Kingston. Majian Gilroy sports an impeccable record of five wins and two seconds from nine seasonal starts. Jim Ripley will drive Majian Gilroy from Post 4.

Star Photo has Post 6 in the top trot with three straight top-three finishes for driver Hughes. The top pace of the evening is in the Race 12 finale with seven pacing mares competing for a £2,300 purse.
One Hot Camshaft is the morning-line favourite for driver Ken Murphy, co-owner and trainer Frank Hansen and co-owner Curtis Hansen of Tyne Valley. The daughter of Camshaft Hanover drops out of the fillies and mares open this week.

Imagine Speed has rail control with Hughes at the lines while Julep Hanover gets Post 6 for driver Wade Myers.
