A 24-year-old Toronto man has been charged with careless driving after a commercial truck hit a hydro pole and ended up with the truck’s rear on a home in Alban, south of Sudbury, on Monday. Ontario Provincial Police released a photo of the van, which smashed into the house, knocking over a hydro pole in the process.

The photo shows the vehicle’s back end, with the wheels down, resting on the home’s second floor and the cab on the ground in the front. There were no injuries, OPP say. The crash happened on Highway 64, forcing the OPP to close the road because of the downed hydro line.

Dashcam video posted to Facebook shows the truck suddenly lose control and flip up onto the house.
