A14 lorry crash: Diversion information as road remains completely shut

A diversion is in place on the A14 after a lorry collided with the central reservation. The road is completely closed between junction 38 for the A11 and junction 39 for the B1506 at Kentford this evening (Monday, October 21). The lorry has jacknifed and an air ambulance is at the scene.

Delays are building on the road and drivers have been told to expect long delays and avoid the area if possible. A police spokeswoman said: "We were called to the scene of a single-vehicle collision on the A14 near Kentford at 4.34pm today (Monday, October 21). "A HGV has hit the central reservation.

"The Fire and Rescue Service is also at the scene. The road is closed while the vehicle is being recovered. "No injuries have yet been reported."

Westbound diversion information

Westbound traffic should take the B1506 through Kentford and then the A1304 towards Newmarket.

Drivers should then join the A142 towards junction 38.

Eastbound diversion information

Eastbound traffic should follow the A11 until the Barton Mills roundabout and then the A1101 to the Fornham All Saints roundabout.

Drivers should then follow the B110.
