A428 collision causing long traffic delays

A traffic collision on a major Cambridgeshire Road has brought traffic to a standstill this evening (October 10). The crash has brought drivers east of Cambridge on the A428 to a standstill. One driver, who wanted to remain anonymous, said traffic "hasn't moved in the last 10 minutes" as a result of the crash.

One ambulance, two police cars and one recovery vehicle are at the scene, according to the driver. She added that the collision appears to have been between a lorry and a truck. Separate to the crash, a broken down vehicle was also present on the road.
