Busy Inverness Street brought to a standstill as lorry remains trapped under railway bridge

A busy Inverness Street has been brought to a standstill after a lorry became stuck under a railway bridge. The HGV was travelling along Thornbush Road when it toppled over underneath the bridge shortly after 11am. Police remain stationed at the scene after receiving initial reports of the incident at 11.10am.

A series of road diversions have been put in place as work continues to try and remove the lorry from beneath the structure.
