Cyclist left with life-changing injuries after being hit by truck

A female cyclist has been left with potentially life-changing injuries after being hit by a truck. Police and ambulances were called to the crash at the Temple Mills Lane junction with Leyton Road in E15 at 12.58pm on Wednesday, October 2. The cyclist, who is in her 20s, was rushed to an East London hospital following the collision.

Police say that her condition is not life-threatening but could be life-changing.

The driver of the truck she crashed with did stop at the scene but was not arrested. Following the serious collision, road closures were put in place while officers investigated the crash. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit ask anyone who can assist the investigation to call 020 8597 4847
