M62 crashes: Updates as two 'serious crashes' stop all traffic heading towards M62 from Hull

The M62 is currently blocked after a serious crash. The motorway is currently partially blocked heading out of Hull, on the westbound carriageway, after a crash. The extent of the accident is not yet known, as it has happened in the past 10 minutes or so, however some people travelling on the motorway have said it “doesn’t look good”.

Travel management system Inrix currently states: “M62 Westbound partially blocked, queuing traffic due to accident from J38 A63 (North Cave) to J37 A614 ( Howden ). Awaiting updates on the extent of this problem.” Humberside Police have been contacted for further information.
