Stoneferry Road blocked after HGV sheds large container

A major east Hull road was blocked on Monday after a HGV shed its load. The large container which was being transported by the flat bed lorry was recovered after falling off the HGV. It happened close to the roundabout which connects the A1033 Stoneferry Road and Chamberlain Road at around 1pm on Monday.

Traffic in the area started to build up as police officers partially shut the road to recover the container. No one was injured during the incident, according to officers. A Humberside Police spokesman said: "Travel disruption Chamberlain Road in Hull.

A lorry has shed a large empty storage container on Chamberlain Rd at the roundabout with Stoneferry Road. "No one has been injured - drivers are advised to avoid the area due to the obstruction of the highway until the load can be recovered. Read about what happened in our blog below.
