Truck Driver Killed after Slamming into Ohio Medic Unit

Above photo from Enon-Mad River Township Fire and EMS Facebook MAD RIVER TOWNSHIP, Ohio – A truck driver was killed early Tuesday morning after being involved in a crash with an Enon-Mad River Township Fire and EMS medic unit, the agency said. Responders were initially called to the scene as a reported single-vehicle crash involving an SUV, WHIO-TV reports.

The crew had finished that call and were back in the rig when the truck drove into the SUV, pushing it into the medic unit. Related: New Ambulance Seating Improves Safety, Size and Functionality The truck then drove off the side of the road, ejecting the driver.

He was killed when the truck rolled over and landed on top of him. The Mad River Township crew, the driver of the SUV and the passenger in the truck were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say snowy road conditions may be to blame.
