Alpacas, margarita trucks and prosecco vans

The Scottish Wedding Show returns to Glasgow[1] next month, with every possible consideration for your big day under one roof. Of course that doesn’t just mean flowers, kilts and the all important dress, but also some more quirky suggestions such as alpacas, margarita trucks and prosecco vans. And as Glasgow Live can attest to after a visit last year, as soon as you’ve set eyes on the adorable alpacas, you’ll immediately be making them part of your wedding party.

Cute, fluffy animals aside, the Scottish Wedding Show[2], at the SEC[3], will host over 200 of Scotland’s top wedding suppliers, from florists to event planners, jewellers and wedding planners.

Meanwhile, as part of the two-day event – which takes place on February 22-23, couples can check out the latest wedding fashion trends at the catwalk fashion show, featuring must-have bridal gowns, menswear looks, mother of the bride outfits and even flower girl and pageboy ensembles for this season. Also, The Live Band Showcase will be on hand to help brides and grooms find their ideal wedding band or singer with a number of performances across the weekend. And, for couples looking for something a little alternative – alpacas aside – you’ll find the likes of fairytale outdoor lighting, prosecco vans and The Little Margarita Truck in ‘The Field Of Dreams’.
