Delays on A30, M5, A380 and around Exeter

Delays are being reported on the A38,  A30, the M5, the A380  and around Exeter this morning. Emergency repairs and temporary traffic lights are in place on on A30 near Viney Lane, after a bin lorry crashed and overturned yesterday, damaging the carriageway. Meanwhile, traffic and travel monitoring service Inrix is reporting a number delays on roads in and round Exeter.  On the M5, Inrix reports: “Heavy traffic on M5 Northbound before J30 A376 / A379 (Exeter / Service Areas).

Travel time is seven minutes.” And very slow traffic is being reported on the A376 A376 Exmouth Road Northbound at Topsham Road and the A3052 westbound before Westpoint.  Slow traffic is also being reported on Cowick Street.

And Highways England’s traffic sensors show queueing or very slow moving traffic on the A38 at Splatford Split heading towards the M5 and A30. Over on the A380 in South Devon, heavy traffic is being reported on the A380 at Paington.
