Lanes reopen on M1 after lorry crash between junctions 29 to 28

Lanes have reopened on the M1 after a crash between a lorry and car. The collision was reported by Highways England at around 3.30pm on Monday, December 6. The lorry overturned and shed glass across the road between junctions 29 and 28 southbound.

The incident has caused heavy delays.

A tweet from Derbyshire Police said: “The M1 southbound is closed near Tibshelf due to a collision. We were called to the incident at 3.15pm on the southbound carriageway. “A lorry and a car have collided and the lorry has overturned, shedding glass across the carriageway.

All southbound lanes are currently closed.”
