Live A14 traffic updates: Overturned lorry closes road causing 45 minute delays

The A14 is closed and there are 45-minute delays after a lorry overturned on the carriageway towards Cambridge. The westbound exit slip and one lane of the A14 are closed westbound at J51 near Needham Market to allow for recovery of the overturned lorry this afternoon, January 7. The closures are causing queueing traffic for four miles on the A14 westbound at J51, A140 Kettle Lane.

As a result of the overturned lorry on the A14, there are delays of around 45 minutes above normal, on the westbound approach towards Cambridge. Congestion is reaching as far back as J52 at Claydon. Traffic is also queuing through Great Blakenham as vehicles are slowly passing the scene to look and see what has happened.

Severe delays and delays are increasing on the A14 between J53 West Meadows (Whitehouse Interchange) and J51 A140 Kettle Lane (Needham Market).
