New photos show damage after truck plunged 20ft from terrace in St Ives

Published by Sarah Yeoman at 3:27pm 6th January 2020. The vehicle landed upside down on top of another vehicle, parked in what is believed to be a private car park below. Police, paramedics and firefighters were scrambled to Tregenna Terrace on Saturday night after a string of 999 calls.

Remarkably, it has been confirmed that no-one was seriously hurt. The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries and has been arrested.

A pick-up truck has landed on its roof on top of another car after plunging 20ft from a terrace in St Ives

“Police were called by the ambulance service to Tregenna Terrace, St Ives, at around 10.40pm on Saturday 4th January with reports that a vehicle had gone over a bridge.  “The silver pick-up truck was on its roof after it dropped a significant distance into a car park and landed on top of another vehicle.  

“The fire service also attended the scene.  “The driver of the vehicle, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries. He was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.”
