HGV driver arrested after man is threatened with knife

A HGV driver has been arrested after a man was threatened with a knife in Warrington, Cheshire. Police were called to Skyline Drive at around 9.20pm last night (February 5) following reports that a man was threatened with a knife. A Cheshire police spokesperson said: “A 58-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

“He has been taken into custody for questioning.” It comes after Warrington Police tweeted that a man had been asked to leave the premises on Skyline Drive and allegedly pulled out a knife. In their tweet, they said: “A male HGV Driver was arrested overnight on Skyline Drive after he was asked to leave a premises.

“Alleged to have pulled a knife on caller.

Delivered to us for allegations of affray and offensive weapon.”
