Picture shows jackknifed lorry that completely blocked A10 traffic

A picture shows a jackknifed lorry completely blocking the A10 this evening. The HGV tried to turn in the middle of the road but ended up getting stuck, blocking traffic on both carriageways as a result. Traffic is building on the road between the B1368 and the M11, junction 11 at Great Shelford, this evening (Wednesday, February 5).

The image below shows the large white lorry stretched across the two lanes.

The jacknifed lorry on the A10

Police and traffic officers are at the scene but drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible. A Highways England spokesperson said on Twitter: “A10 between the B1368 and the M11 junction 11 at Great Shelford, a HGV was attempting to turn in the road and has subsequently got itself stuck blocking both carriageways. “Police and traffic officers both on scene working on getting this cleared as quickly as possible”.
