Live M11 traffic updates after lorry into central reservation

The M11 is closed after a lorry crashed into the central reservation. At around 5pm this evening (Monday, March 23), a lorry crashed into the central reservation on the sounhbound carriageway between junction 7 for the A414 and junction 6 for the M25. Traffic officers from Essex Road Policing Unit rushed to the scene to deal with the driver and ensure they were fine.

In a tweet, the policing unit said: “We’re currently responding to an incident on the southbound M11 between J7 (Harlow) and J6 (M25) involving a HGV colliding with a section of central reservation. “Not believed to involve serious injuries but likely to be partially/fully shut for a period, please avoid if you can.” Officers have now temporarily held all traffic on the carriageway which has led to delays.

There is currently around two-miles worth of congestion leading up to the incident.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area where possible and allow for plenty of extra time when making their journeys this evening.
