Live Rayleigh Clarence Road: Biker could be 'fighting for his life' after crash with pick-up truck

A biker could be fighting for his life in hospital after a serious crash this morning. A motorcyclist has been rushed to receive medical care for “potentially life-threatening” injuries following an incident in Rayleigh. A pick-up truck was involved in a collision with the biker on Clarence Road early this morning (Monday, March 9).

Several ambulances were dispatched to the scene as well as an air ambulance crew. The road was shut by emergency services and is believed to still be closed four hours later, at 11am. The incident is believed to have happened near to Eastwood Road[1], a major route throughout Rayleigh towards Southend-on-Sea.

Clarence Road is close to Warwick Road, Grove Road and Grove Wood Primary School and Grove Wood Academy Trust. Police are now appealing for information regarding the crash, especially CCTV or dashcam footage.
