Homeowners likely saw their grocery deliveries not turn up yesterday after a Morrisons delivery driver decided to take his truck up a a section of river – getting stuck in the process. The submerged large vehicle became stuck after attempting to wade through the large amount of water at the ford, likely swollen due to recent storms. It has reportedly had two rescue attempts fail already, with recovery vehicles twice forced to turn back.

It remained stranded overnight before being recovered at around midday today.
