Runner sexually assaulted in Gloucester by man who jumped out of truck

A runner was sexually assaulted while she was on her mid-morning run in a Gloucester[1] suburb. It was reported that at about 10am on Monday March 23, after the woman ran past a lay-by opposite Pound Lane on the A38 at Hardwicke. The front passenger of a 2018-2020 black pickup truck, either a Mercedes X Class or a Nissan Navara, got out and started running alongside the woman.

Now officers have issued an appeal for anyone who witnessed the event to come forward. A spokesman from Gloucestershire Constabulary said: "The man made lewd comments about the woman and then inappropriately touched her twice. "The offender is described as being a white man who had an Irish accent, was 6ft tall and had blue eyes which were bloodshot.

"The woman was left shaken but unharmed following the incident. "Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage of the area at the time, to contact 101 quoting incident 74 of March 23."
