Yobs steal truck and tear up farmers' fields on country joyride

Yobs stole a grey Mitsubishi L200 pick-up truck and took it on a joyride around farmland in Haxby, damaging fields, fences and farming equipment in the process. The incident happened at Crompton Farm on York Road, between approximately 9.30pm on 22 April and 5.10am on 23 April. In a press release, North Yorkshire Police said that the damage was “substantial”.

The truck was later recovered on Strensall Road by the A1237 roundabout. Police are asking for anyone with information about the incident to come forward. They’re particularly interested in hearing from anyone who saw the truck being driven during the hours above, or saw anyone leaving it on Strensall Road.
