A55 lorry driver 'leaves chaos in his wake' after 'chancing it' through roadworks

A lorry driver caused "chaos" on the A55 after deciding to "chance it" through roadworks. Cones were left scattered across the expressway after the driver ignored a contraflow system and attempted to drive along the road near Llandudno today. However, the HGV was too wide for the roadworks and the driver was brought to a stop by police.

North Wales Police's Roads Policing Unit shared photos of the incident and tweeted: "This HGV driver carrying a wide load chose to ignore the contraflow which is in place on the #A55 at #Llandudno today, leaving chaos in his wake! "The HGV was clearly far too wide for the roadworks, but he decided to chance it anyway. He was brought to a stop shortly after and reported for careless driving."
