Cornwall police charge adults with abandoning two children

A 22-year-old woman and 24-year-old man from Cornwall are each facing a charge after police received a call about the well-being of two young children in the area of Fourth and Bedford streets on Tuesday. Both adults, neither of whose identities were released, were each charged with abandoning a child. Both were released from police custody to appear in Cornwall court on Aug.

25. Mischief, breach An 18-year-old and 17-year-old from Cornwall are facing charges after police responded to a call from the Cornwall Square on Tuesday.

Police alleged the pair damaged a pickup truck. Both were found in the area and arrested. Harley Dumais, 18, was charged with mischief, and breach of undertaking for attending Cornwall Square.

Four youths between the ages of 16 to 18 are each facing eight charges after a police investigation into vehicle windows smashed in the north end of the city overnight on May 7-8. Police alleged the four were responsible for the damage, and subsequently arrested all four. Each of the youths, none of whom can be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with eight counts of mischief.

They were all released to appear in Cornwall court at an undisclosed later date.
