Man arrested and another taken to hospital after reports of Saltney Ferry attack

A man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding following an incident which saw another taken to hospital. Police were called to Saltney Ferry after reports of an attack, and a man was taken to hospital with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries. Local people on social media described police sirens "blasting" at the scene, while witnesses said a vehicle was removed from the area on a recovery truck as officers investigated.

A North Wales Police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 11.15am today to a report of an assault in Park Avenue, Saltney Ferry.

"One man has been taken to the Countess of Chester with non-life threatening injuries and another man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding."
