HGV has left the road near junction 41 of the M6 motorway
A HGV has left the road on the B5305, towards junction 41 of the M6 motorway this morning (June 25). One lane is currently closed with officers conducting traffic at the scene, drivers are urged to approach with caution. There are no reported injuries and reports state recovery of the vehicle is being arranged.
Cumbria Roads Police tweeted pictures of the road, between the Catterlen Interchange and Plumpton, just before 9am. The tweet reads: “HGV has left the road on the B5305 towards J41 roundabout. “Approach with caution as 1 lane currently closed and officers conducting traffic control.
“No injuries and arranging recovery.
2399/1895/2378 #MSGHurricane” There’s reports of slow traffic in the area and some delays could be likely. At time of publication, the AA Traffic News website reads: “Partially blocked and slow traffic due to accident, a lorry that has left the road involved on B5305 between Plumpton turn off and M6 J41 (Catterlen).
“A lorry has left the road.
“Police are directing traffic around the scene but have advised they will need to close.”
