Live M25, A12 and M11 traffic updates as road completely shut due to lorry fire
Part of the M25 has been completely shut by emergency services due to a lorry fire. The incident happened shortly before 5am today (Friday, June 26) heading clockwise between junction 27 for the M11 and junction 28 for the A12 and Brentwood. According to traffic reports, fire crews are currently at the scene tying to extinguish the flames after a lorry caught fire on the hard shoulder just after junction 27.
The road has been completely closed to all traffic since 5am and long queues are beginning to form in both directions due to the incident near Theydon Bois, Essex.
There are around two miles of stationary queues heading clockwise backing up towards junction 26 for Waltham Abbey, while there are four-mile queues on the anticlockwise carriageway
A diversion is in operation and drivers are being advised to follow the hollow triangle symbol via the M11, North Circular and A12 through Redbridge and Romford.
