Peacehaven man dies in A281 crash

The collision happened in Poynings earlier today, June 5, according to police. A spokeswoman said: “Officers were called to West Road at 8.50am on Friday (June 5) where a truck and cyclist had collided. “Sadly, the cyclist, a man aged 55 from Peacehaven, suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

Next of kin have been informed.” The scene of the crash The truck driver – a 29-year-old man from Brighton – was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been taken to custody for questioning, she added.
