Updates: Driver taken to hospital as crash involving lorry shuts Warrington road near M56

A crash involving a lorry and a car in Warrington on the run up to a motorway junction has forced the road's closure. Police took to Twitter to explain that Grappenhall Lane in Warrington, near the M56 and M6 junction, is closed in both directions. A HGV and a car are understood to have been involved in the crash.
