Dirty trucker forced to turn around by police and pick up litter thrown from cab

Police forced a dirty trucker to return to the scene of the crime after he threw rubbish out of his cab window. Officers followed the litter bug after he dropped the packaging out of his lorry in the village of North Kilworth, near Lutterworth. They stopped him in the neighbouring village of Walcote and ordered him to follow them.

The Leicestershire Police officers made him follow them to the nearby M1 junction 20 and travel around the roundabout and the four miles back to Walcote. When they arrived at the scene, they made the lorry driver get out and take his rubbish away with him. The Lutterwoth Police team took to Twitter to tell of the clean-up operation.
