On a roll! Arsenal charity truck sends out more virus aid
ANOTHER lorry-load of emergency supplies has been delivered to the borough by the Arsenal Foundation and charity HIS Church.
Working with Islington Council as part of the borough’s coronavirus response plan, the donation will provide meals and essential items such as sanitary and personal hygiene products to those most vulnerable amid the ongoing crisis.
HIS Church is a registered charity based in Lincolnshire that has been providing help to foodbanks across the country for the past 13 years. Before the Covid-19 outbreak, the charity was distributing just over 50,000 meals a week across the UK.
But due to overwhelming demand, this rose to around 200,000 meals a week through a network of more than 15,000 charities.
