A14 traffic: Live updates as two lorry crash closes road and causes major delays

A serious collision between two lorries has closed the A14 eastbound this morning (August 25) near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Emergency services are at the scene of the crash between J43 and J45. Motorists have been advised to follow alternative routes to avoid delays, with cars queueing for two miles, according to traffic data.

Police were called to the incident at 9.45am and have said the road will remain closed eastbound for “several hours”.
