Rising star Olivia Dean brings unique tour to unusual venues in Cornwall this weekend

A rising singing star is pioneering a new way of touring in the new era of social distancing at a time when so many other tours have been cancelled. Olivia Dean – named as New Artist of The Week on Apple – will be bringing her unique live show to Cornwall this weekend, performing from her bright yellow truck. After blowing fans away with her flawless online performances in lockdown for the likes of Burberry, La Blogotheque, Barclaycard Share The Stage and more, Olivia was inspired by the huge community spirit we’ve seen over the past few months and wanted to spread some much-needed joy and sunshine.

In partnership with Clarks, the From Me To You tour will take place in open outdoor spaces where fans and passers-by can safely enjoy Olivia’s gorgeously soulful performances from a distance, with the huge yellow truck, painted by @brokenfingaz, as her stage. Through her unique idea, Olivia is pioneering a new way of getting back to touring in the ‘new normal’, paving the way for other artists to safely get back to playing live shows again.

Olivia said: “I still can’t believe we managed to build this truck!

So gassed to be playing live again and grateful to Clarks for helping us get it all together. Gonna spread that socially distanced sunshine! See you soon!

From me to you xx” The From Me To You tour will be stopping in the following locations in Cornwall, with more shows around the country to be announced:

Motown stars like The Supremes, The Temptations and Gladys Knight influenced the world of The Hardest Part, and the video, directed by Claire Arnold, was not only inspired by these groups’ iconic performances, but also drawn from childhood memories of her mum and aunties lightheartedly replicating The Three Degrees’ dance routines. Born and raised in Walthamstow, Olivia caught the eye of London label AMF (Loyle Carner, Marika Hackman) with her first ever song Reason to Stay, which she uploaded to Spotify and Soundcloud where it quickly gained hundreds of thousands of streams.

Olivia has been named as New Artist of The Week on Apple, with Password Change also being added to Radio 1’s BBC Introducing playlist.

Since the release of Password Change, she’s gained fans in the likes of The FADER, Wonderland, gal-dem, Sch?n!, Bustle, Clash, Line of Best Fit and more.

Her debut EP Ok Love You Bye is out now via AMF Records.
