A82 shut in both directions due to 'serious' crash involving car and truck

The A82 near Fort William has been shut after a car and truck collided. The incident happened just before 10am today on the A82 south of Fort William. Transport Scotland said the crash at Heron Bay is “serious” and people should use an alternative route in the meantime.
The road remains shut in both directions. It not yet known the extent of injuries. A police spokeswoman said: “Police were called around 9.45am on Thursday, September 3, 2020 following the report of a two-vehicle road crash involving a car and a truck on the A82 southbound near Fort William.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed in both directions.”
