Overturned lorry causing disruption for drivers on motorway out of Glasgow
An overturned lorry is causing delays for drivers on a motorway out of Glasgow this morning. Traffic Scotland confirmed news of the incident involving the HGV around 6am this morning on the M74 Southbound between Junctions six (Hamilton Interchange) and seven (Larkhall Interchange). The M74 had to be closed between Junctions six and eight for the recovery of the lorry, after drivers were originally faced with 25 minute delays southbound with traffic down to one lane.
Police were called to the scene of the incident.
They have confirmed that the driver of the HGV was not injured.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police were called to reports that a trailer had overturned on the M74 Southbound at Junction 7 around 5.30am this morning.
No injuries were reported.”
