Redhill road closed in both directions after lorry hits building

A road in Redhill was closed in both directions due to a serious crash involving a lorry. Gloucester Road was closed between the junction with the A23 and Clarendon Road following the collision, which took place in the early hours of this morning (September 30). Surrey Police issued a statement, saying the driver left the road and collided with Somerset House, and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A road closure was put in place from approximately 4am between the junction with the A23 and Clarendon Road, and was removed at around midday. There was also queuing traffic on the M25 due to a collision involving a lorry and van. One lane was closed on the clockwise carriageway near to Clacket Lane Services.
